New breath for wooden architecture: Zirgu pasts
Šī gada 1.
septembrī gaidāmi lieli svētki – plašākai publikai tiks atklāta atjaunotā
Latvijas Kultūras akadēmijas teātra māja Zirgu
pasts. Atklāšanas ceremonijas laikā tiks izrādītas renovētās telpas, kuru
rekonstrukcijas process bijis grūts un sarežģīts, jo bija nepieciešams saglabāt
un cienīt senās ēkas kultūrvēsturisko vērtību, kā arī jāveic tās pielāgošana
specializētam mācību procesam.
1826. gadā
celtā koka ēka Dzirnavu ielā 46 ir LKA Teātra un Audiovizuālās mākslas katedras
Teātra studiju bāzes ēka un savā 19 gadus
ilgajā mūžā ir izmācījusi vairākas aktieru un teātra režisoru paaudzes. Pirmo
reizi jaunie teātra censoņi Zirgu pasta
telpās ienāca 1993. gada 10. decembrī profesoru Annas Eižvertiņas, Edmunda
Freiberga un Pētera Krilova vadībā. Visa skaistā koka celtne nonāca LKA rīcībā
1997. gada rudenī, kad tā tika pārņemta no Lietišķās mākslas koledžas. Nosaukums
Zirgu pasts ēkai dots tādēļ, ka
blakus iekšpagalmā atrodas īsta agrākā zirgu pasta mūra ēka, uz kuras fasādes joprojām
redzamas divas zirgu galvas. LKA rekotrs
Jānis Siliņš uzsver, ka pēc rekonstrukcijas Zirgu
pasts būs modernākais mazais teātris Latvijā, kā arī pirmā – īpaši šim
uzdevumam būvētā – mazā teātra zāle.
Tādējādi,
iebūvējot modernas tehnoloģijas un iekārtas vecajā koka namā, Latvijas Kultūras
akadēmija var lepoties ar pirmo mācību telpu Latvijā, kas atbilst topošo
dramatiskā teātra aktieru, režisoru un laikmetīgās dejas horeogrāfu
profesionālajai apmācībai.

A big celebration is
in order – on the 1st of September, 2012 the renovated theatre house Zirgu pasts of the Latvian Culture
Academy will be opened for a wider public. During the opening ceremony it will
be possible to see the renovated premises, whose reconstruction process has
been hard and complicated, as it was necessary to maintain and respect the
building’s culturally historical heritage and importance, as well as to adjust
it to the specialized study process.
The house on Dzirnavu
street 46 was built in 1826 and it’s the headquarters of LCA’s Theatre and
Audiovisual Arts department’s Theatre Studies. During its 19 year old life it
has taught numerous generations of actors and theatre directors. The new
theatre generation came into the premises of Zirgu pasts on the 10th of december, 1993 led by professors Anna
Eižvertiņa, Edmunds Freibergs and Pēteris Krilovs. The whole beautiful wooden
building came in the posession of LCA in
the autumn of 1997, when it was passed on by the College of Applied Arts. The name
Zirgu Pasts [horse postal office] is
attached to the building because next to it in the inner yard there is an
actual former horse postal office building that still has two horse heads on
its facade. The rector of LCA Jānis Siliņš underlines that after the
reconstruction Zirgu pasts will be
the most modern small theatre in Latvia, as well as the first – especially built
– small theatre hall.
Thus, by incorporating
modern technologies and equipment in the old wooden building, LCA can be proud
of providing the first teaching premises in Latvia that corresponds to the
professional training of future actors and directors of dramatic theatre, as
well as horeographers of contemporary dance.
